Funding Your Research and Projects
Grant Funding
Organisations that provide grant funds have specific interests that they seek to fund. They advise the public about their grants by announcing a Call for Proposals (Call) or Request for Proposals (RFP): providing details of the themes they are interested in, the application process and deadlines. The time between the announcement of a Call and application deadline is normally very short, so it is a good idea to have research or project proposals ready and awaiting a specific a Call.
Competition for grant funding is very high. Therefore, it is important to learn as much about a funder as possible and follow the application requirements very carefully. Guidelines on how to prepare a proposal for a grant can be found here. Some research grants may also be available through the UWI.
