The Office of Research, Innovation and Community at Cave Hill (RICCH) was first established in 2017 as the Cave Hill Campus Office of Research and Innovation (CHORI). Activities undertaken by CHORI increasingly depended on community involvement, including the academic, corporate, government in addition to business support communities. As a result, the Office was renamed to include the word 'community', reflecting the importance of links with key stakeholders.
RICCH contibutes to the UWI Strategic Plan 2022-27, 'The Triple ‘A’ Strategy, Phase II: The Revenue Revolution' which rests on three primary pillars: Access (AC), Alignment (AL), and Agility (AG).
RICCH contributes to all objectives of The UWI Strategic Plan but especially to the following:
Objective AC4 - Increase the quality and quantity of high impact research.
Role of RICCH - Support researchers in building their publication profile through the annual Author Fellowship Program.
