On Wednesday, May 28th, 2025, the Confucius Institute at The University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus, in partnership with the Embassy of the People's Republic of China, hosted its annual Chinese Bridge Competition.
On April 24th, 2025, the unveiling ceremony of the Joint China-Caribbean Research Center an established collaboration between The University of the West Indies Cave Hill (UWI) and the China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) was held.
On Sunday January 19th, 2025, the 11th annual Fish and Dragon Festival was held at The Sir Garfield Sobers Sports Complex Gymnasium. A collaboration between the Central Bank of Barbados and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Barbados, this festival, with ties to the Chinese Spring Festival, aims to promote cultural and social exchanges between the people of Barbados and the People’s Republic of China.
