
The Bachelor of Science in Public Policy and Management is designed as a rigorous programme, which twins Public Policy, as a sub-field of Political Science and Management. This interdisciplinary programme fosters students’ critical thinking skills to analyse the theoretical foundations of both Political Science (Public Policy) and Management. This programme is structured so that during the first-year students are exposed to foundational and introductory courses. In the second year, they will be provided with more in-depth tools for deeper critical analysis. In the final year, students will be exposed to a blend of theoretical tools and practical courses.
A unique feature of this programme is that in the final semester, students will benefit from a practical component in the form of professional advancement workshops. This course will consist of a series of training workshops grouped into four thematic strands: (1) technical writing for the public sector and business, (2) public financial management, (3) ethics (4) strategic leadership and governance.
