The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, announces the reopening of our admissions portal for the 2025/2026 academic year, August 2025 entry. Online applications are now being accepted for the following programmes:
 
Application Deadlines:
 
Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS): Monday, March 31, 2025
Tertiary Level Institution (TLI) Programmes: Monday, March 31, 2025
Undergraduate Programmes (except MBBS and TLI): Saturday, May 31, 2025
Postgraduate Programmes (except TLI): Saturday, May 31, 2025

Location

The Cave Hill Campus is one of five campuses of The University of the West Indies. The Campus sits on a hill overlooking the Caribbean Sea in the parish of St. Michael in the beautiful island of Barbados.

 

Academics

The Cave Hill Campus offers a wide range of programmes in the Faculties of Culture, Creative and Performing Arts, Humanities & Education, Law, Medical Sciences, Science & Technology, Social Sciences, and Sport.  The Campus has a number of Memoranda of Understanding with international universities which offer local students the opportunity to participate in overseas student exchange programmes, and international students the ability to spend a semester or an academic year studying in the sun.  The Campus offers a range of co-curricular courses and permits students to attend the University on a full-time or part-time basis.


Facilities

We provide premier teaching facilities including a complex reserved for postgraduate teaching, modern computer and laboratory equipment throughout, Wi-Fi access as well as a Main Library and a Law Library.

The Campus actively encourages involvement in a wide cross section of sports - including netball, football, athletics, chess, hockey and lawn tennis. The Campus is home to a cricket ground - the 3Ws Oval, a state-of-the art FIFA certified football field, the Ryan Brathwaite Athletic Track and a mini sand-based hockey Astroturf.

 

Culture

The Cave Hill Campus provides the opportunity for a true cultural experience for our Caribbean neighbours as well as visitors from further afield.
