This course aims to develop the student’s communicative competence by adopting an integrated-skills approach. It can be completed face-to-face for one month or online, for three weeks.
The online course involves real-time teaching, guided learning activities which participants are expected to complete largely on their own with some assistance from peers and instructors, as well as independent learning activities. Each class will be 3 hours (for a total of 9 hours), per week. Applicants must select a class time for each of the days selected, either 9:00 am – 12:00 noon (AST) or 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm (AST).
As part of the course, participants will be expected to monitor their own learning through reflective oral/written activities. Instructors will present materials, activities, resources, strategy training, assignments and assessments which complement each other to improve participants’ knowledge and proficiency.
