Hardship & Emergency Fund

The Student Hardship Fund is intended to assist students who encounter unforeseen financial emergencies which would prevent them from continuing their education at the Cave Hill Campus. If, in general, you are having ongoing difficulties with managing your funds, you may also make an appointment to discuss your financial challenges.

Students may apply for funds when they have exhausted all their resources.

To be eligible students:
  • Must be registered with a degree GPA of 2.0 or above,
  • Demonstrate financial need with supporting documentation,
  • Must not have received assistance within the past year, and
  • Must have considered all other resources.

The following expenses are NOT generally considered:
  • Study Abroad Costs
  • Non-essential utilities
  • Expenditures from poor financial management

Maximum award: BDS $500.00. Additional options may also be considered.

Applicants are required to meet with a member of staff to discuss their application.  Please use the online booking system found on the OSS website to schedule an appointment with a staff member. You may book an appointment here »

All students will be seen by appointment on Mondays between the hours of 2 pm and 4 pm throughout the academic year.

Note that all financial aid awards are disbursed by the Campus Bursar.
