Another Cave Hill academic has entered The University of the West Indies professorial ranks.  Professor of Supramolecular Chemistry and Nanotechnology, Dr. Avril Williams, is one of five new UWI professors recently announced.   

A vibrant roadside mural near the main entrance to The University of the West Indies at Cave Hill now helps to depict the history of a leading credit union against a backdrop of rural Barbados.  

Two of the region’s key economic sectors are expected to be severely disrupted by heavier than usual influxes of Sargassum seaweed across the Eastern Caribbean in the coming months.

The Cave Hill Campus community fondly remembers Dr. Sir Cecil Cyrus following news of his passing on March 24, 2023. The renowned doctor is considered to be St Vincent and the Grenadines’ most distinguished physician and surgeon. He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Science (DSc) by The UWI Cave Hill campus in 2005.
 

Plans are now well advanced for the groundbreaking to officially inaugurate the Centre for Agricultural Research and Innovation at the Cave Hill Campus Dukes, St. Thomas location. 

The University of the West Indies Press (UWI Press) is pleased to announce that three of its books have been recognized as Finalists in the 25th annual Foreword INDIES Book of the Year Awards.

The regional UWI community is saddened by the news of the passing of retired Campus Registrar of its Cave Hill Campus, Andrew Gordon Lewis, one of the Campus's foundation students who went on to become a leading and much revered administrator at the institution.
