Political Science

About the Programme

We focus on Caribbean political institutions - their historical evolution, current practices, and future possibilities.
We also provide students with knowledge of international political economy and Caribbean international relations. Political Science provides students with analytical tools for building critical thinking skills, administrative competence and communication abilities that are valued in a wide spectrum of potential career areas.

 

What Will I Study?

We provide knowledge of the foundational and conceptual issues relevant to understanding:
  • What is politics
  • Its role in society
  • Traditional areas like comparative government, political philosophy and political institutions
