Paula Alleyne is a Research Assistant in the Caribbean Education Research Centre at the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus. She was born in Barbados and holds a BSc. in Psychology (Upper Division) from the University of the West Indies Cave Hill and graduated with a MSc. in Project Management and Evaluation from the Cave Hill Campus. Mrs. Alleyne further holds an International Certification in Project Management from the Project Management Institute. Paula is pursuing her PhD in Education with a research focus on children who live in residential care in Barbados and their transition to independent living. Mrs. Alleyne is the Founder of a non-profit organisation working with youth in residential care and has served in the public sector in the capacity of Senior Research Investigator, Project Officer and Project Coordinator- Housing for over 15 years.
