Faculty of Humanities and Education
Dr. Verna Knight works as a full-time lecturer with the University of the West Indies based at the Cave Hill Campus, with responsibility for the development, assessment, and delivery of educational programmes at the Undergraduate and Post Graduate Degree levels. She possesses a Doctoral degree in Education Policy and Planning with special emphasis on the Eastern Caribbean area, an undergraduate degree in Education Administration, and teaching certification at both the secondary school, and University teaching levels. Dr. Knight possesses over 20 years teaching experience. Her main research interests relate to issues impacting quality education for all, the development of education policies in the Caribbean, and Social Studies Education.
