Crescentiana Alfred is a Research Assistant in the Caribbean Educational Research Centre at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill. She was born and raised in St. Lucia. She holds an Honours BSc and an MPhil in Mathematics from the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus. Her MPhil thesis investigated the application of category theory on inverse semigroups. She also holds a postgraduate diploma in Mathematics Education from the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus. Crescentiana has worked for over a decade as a Mathematics teacher in St. Lucia before joining the team at the Caribbean Educational Research Centre.
