The infrastructure of any Island State depends on the capabilities of its construction sector. Excellent construction management practice can be a considerable source of competitive advantage and growth. If you plan, build, supply or support the construction industry, this Programme may be for you, because you know that contemporary building means “green” design, a host of regulatory requirements, and other factors that make executing construction projects more complex. The M.Sc. in Construction Management -  a product of a Construction Sector, Government and University strategic alliance – is a response to the challenge of delivering a continuing source of construction  industry professionals who are up to the task of optimizing building projects in the 21st century.

After completing 12 courses and a series of required workshops, participants will carry out an applied Practicum with a local or international construction sector organization.

Core Courses (12)
Construction sector structure, operation, and economics;   infrastructure planning;  equipment and materials technology; strategic land use policy and development;  maintenance and facilities management/planned quality; contemporary IR, contracts, procurement and negotiations; strategic planning and  total project control in managing construction projects
Intensive Workshops
Introductory and Advanced MS Project 2007 with Critical Tools; Alternative Platforms for Large Scale Project  Scheduling; Local and International Industry Experts Topical Workshop Series
