Ms. Mikaila Collymore

Programme Officer

Mikaila Collymore holds a B.A. (Honors) in Psychology (UWI) and a M.Sc. in Clinical Psychology (Royal Holloway University of London) and is a member of the British Psychological Society. Mikaila joined the Sagicor Cave Hill School of Business and Management SCHSBM in August 2019 as a Research Assistant and held this position until 2022 when she was promoted to the position of Programme Officer.

As Programme Officer, she assists in the development and review of programmes and courses as well as in the development of programme proposals and training initiatives for the Centre for Professional Development and Lifelong Learning (CPDLL) and the SCHSBM. Mikaila is also a Part-time Psychology Lecturer in the School of Education at the Cave Hill Campus.

Mikaila has worked and volunteered in a number of mental health institutions and organisations among a range of diverse people groups with mental health disorders, and intellectual and physical disabilities. These experiences have fueled her desire to further pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. Mikaila’s research interests include alexithymia and the effects of trauma in the etiology of mental health disorders.  Mikaila is a follower of Jesus Christ and plays an active role in the church and in the community.
