An airport never stands still. Behind every arrival and departure is a tightly connected operation managing aircraft, passengers, baggage, cargo, security, commercial activity and dozens of competing priorities—often under intense time, space and financial pressure. When one part of the system slows down, the effects can spread quickly across the entire airport.
This Certificate takes you beyond the day-to-day running of an airport and into the decisions that shape its performance. It explores how you can improve passenger flow, use limited capacity more effectively, grow aeronautical and commercial revenue, attract new air services, strengthen airline partnerships, plan infrastructure, and improve operational performance. You will work through practical airport scenarios that reflect the realities of managing gateways in small, tourism-dependent and highly exposed Caribbean markets.

Each specialist Certificate carries an applied, industry-based assessment built on a realistic airport-management challenge.
Complete the Certificate in Aviation Management at a pace that works for you.
Complete within 6 months
Register for and complete all five courses within six months and receive a 10% discount on the total programme fee.
Complete within 16 months
Take up to 16 months to complete all five courses, paying the prevailing fee for each course at the time it is offered.

Growth forces hard choices: where capacity is genuinely constrained, what warrants expansion, when investment is justified, and how today’s decision will shape tomorrow’s operation. This Certificate works through master planning, capacity, terminals, airfields and capital development, with the discipline of building to demand rather than to ambition.

Certificate 3 – Airport Commercial Management
Passengers do not simply move through an airport; they create commercial opportunity. Airlines are not simply operators; they are customers and strategic partners. This Certificate examines how airports grow aeronautical and non-aeronautical revenue, manage commercial partnerships, lift concession performance and extract greater value from their assets and traffic.

Certificate 4 – Financial Management for Airlines and Airports
Airport managers do not need to become accountants, but they do need to interrogate the numbers behind operational, commercial and investment decisions. This Certificate gives you the tools to analyse airport and airline performance, challenge financial assumptions, control cost, and judge whether an investment case actually holds.

Certificate 5 – Air Services and Route Development
Airports compete for aircraft, routes and airline investment. A destination may want a service, but the airport still has to show the airline why the market works. This Certificate builds the analytical and commercial capability to identify credible opportunities, read airline decision-making, construct an airline-ready business case, negotiate support, and hold the route once it launches.
