Growing Revenue Beyond the Flight
Financial sustainability has become one of the defining challenges for airports worldwide. While aeronautical revenues remain essential, airports are increasingly expected to generate diverse income streams, strengthen commercial performance and create value for airlines, passengers, investors and the communities they serve. Today’s airport leaders must think beyond operating an airport—they must build resilient airport businesses capable of adapting to changing markets and economic pressures.
For Caribbean airports, this challenge is particularly significant. Many operate within relatively small passenger markets, depend heavily on seasonal tourism, face limited opportunities for large-scale commercial development and continue to rely on public investment to support infrastructure growth. Building commercially sustainable airports therefore requires leaders who can maximise existing assets, identify new revenue opportunities, develop strategic partnerships and make commercial decisions that strengthen long-term financial resilience.
This programme equips participants with the commercial mindset and practical tools needed to transform airports into stronger, more financially sustainable enterprises. Participants will examine how airports generate long-term value, diversify revenue, optimise commercial assets, enhance passenger experiences and position themselves as drivers of tourism, trade and national economic development.
Through practical commercial scenarios, international case studies and Caribbean-focused discussions, you will learn how to identify commercial opportunities, balance financial performance with customer value and develop commercial strategies that enable airports to thrive in increasingly competitive and resource-constrained environments.
