The UWI launches 75th anniversary celebrations

“The 75th anniversary of The University of the West Indies is about to be a magnificent year.” These sentiments came from Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sir Hilary Beckles as well as University Registrar and Chief Administrative Officer, Dr. Maurice D. Smith during a media briefing held on Friday January 6, to launch the University’s 75th anniversary being commemorated throughout 2023.
This year marks 75 years since the official opening of its first UWI Campus in Mona, Jamaica.

The UWI’s Revenue Revolution strategy approved and set to take effect

Dubbed the ‘Revenue Revolution’, this second phase of The UWI Triple A Strategy was given the green light by the University Council during a special meeting of its members held on July 29 and is set to take effect from the start of the upcoming academic year.
UWI Global Giving 2022 to help raise US$1 million for Open Campus Scholarships
