The History Minor offered in the Department will strengthen the competencies of students enrolled in the disciplines such as law, economics, political science and management. These minors provide transferable skills such as research, analysis, decision making and oral and written communication.
Such skills, along with a good grasp of local, regional and global issues of the past and present, will enable graduates to function effectively in the public service and in various private sector organisations.
For the Minor in History, students will be required to completesix (6) courses for eighteen (18) credits, distributed as follows:
LEVEL I
1. HIST1703 Introduction to History
LEVEL II
2–4. Any three (3) Level II History courses
LEVEL III
5–6. Any two (2) Level III History courses
