What I enjoyed most about my time at UWI is being able to attend school in a new country, meeting other local people and those from other islands as well. The memories that I will treasure most are those of bonding with my classmates and the times we spent together working on our academics, attending classes and the friendships that we have formed.
UWI has helped me advance my career because the content area has been meaningful for me to apply in my country in my classroom practice to strengthen my students in their learning. The research readings matched with the practical courses at UWI, allowed the learning experience to be meaningful and it showed me how to impart concepts in a meaningful way to my students. Coupled with my previous pedagogical content, I am able to connect all the information to better understand the students that I teach.
