Faculty of Culture, Creative and Performing Arts
The MA in Creative Arts examines the practices, discourses, literature, communities and institutions pertaining to the arts in the Caribbean. It combines knowledge of the arts and culture, arts education, and sustainable community development with technological, entrepreneurial and management skills.
The MA Creative Arts provides a distinctive approach to the study of the creative arts by offering studies in Theatre, Drama and Motion Picture Arts. The course provides a rich experience of scholarship and artistry, that combine practice, creative expression, and theoretical investigation in each of the three disciplines. In this regard those who are teachers of Drama, Performing Arts, Dance or Cinematic Arts benefit from the interrogation of the pedagogical concerns which impact the Caribbean region. In addition, the course is suitable for working professionals in any of the three disciplines, who wish to hone their craft as they engage in master classes, guest lecturers and professional practice.
