We arrived in Barbados with great expectations, excitement and a little fear. However, as soon as I came out from the airplane, I saw a big sign that I will never forget, it said “Relax you are in Barbados!”. Some of us struggled expressing our ideas in the writing process with our essays; some others had difficulty speaking but the teachers’ love and our perseverance produced outstanding results. At first, it wasn’t easy but Barbadians are kind people who were like an army of English teachers for us. We did more than just learn English, we also learnt about the history and culture of Barbados. We will never forget: The beautiful sunsets, amazing beaches, playing football with our Barbadian friends and Monica’s delicious macaroni pie!
