Applications are now open for the following scholarships for the 2026\/2027 academic year: <\/p>\n
The Kittitian Scholarship<\/strong> <\/p>\n
\n
Value: US$3,000 for one year<\/em><\/li>\n
Be a national of St. Kitts;<\/em><\/li>\n
Be registered in any programme in any faculty at The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus; <\/em><\/li>\n
Have completed at least one year of their degree programme; <\/em><\/li>\n
Possess a minimum GPA of 3.0; and <\/em><\/li>\n
Demonstrate active involvement in co-curricular activities.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n
P. J. Patterson Endowment Fund Scholarship<\/strong><\/p>\n
\n
Value: US$2,000 \u2013 US$3,000<\/em><\/li>\n
Be a Caribbean national;<\/em><\/li>\n
Be registered in the Faculty of Social Sciences pursuing a B.Sc. in Political Science, or in the Faculty of Law pursuing an LL.B. degree; <\/em><\/li>\n
Be entering Level II or Level III of their programme of study; and <\/em><\/li>\n
Have attained a minimum GPA of 3.0, based on the results of the previous academic year’s examinations.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n
Sylvan & George Alleyne Social Work Scholarship <\/strong><\/p>\n
\n
Value: The scholarship covers the cost of tuition only. <\/em><\/li>\n
Maximum Tenure: One (1) year <\/em><\/li>\n
Be registered in an Undergraduate Degree programme at The University of the West Indies in the Faculty of Social Sciences pursuing a B.Sc. in Social Work; and<\/em><\/li>\n
Be entering the final year of their programme of study. <\/em><\/li>\n
The scholarship will be awarded based on: Academic performance, as demonstrated by the results of the previous academic year’s University examinations, with a minimum GPA of 2.5;<\/em><\/li>\n
Demonstrable involvement in co-curricular activities; and <\/em><\/li>\n
Verifiable financial need. <\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

The UWI Toronto Gala Scholarship<\/strong> is an undergraduate scholarship funded through the annual UWI Toronto Benefit Gala. It is intended to assist academically strong students who demonstrate financial need and are actively involved in co-curricular activities.<\/p>\n

Scholarship Value: Amount: CAN$3,000<\/em><\/li>\n
Maximum Tenure: One (1) academic year.<\/em><\/li>\n
Be a national of a CARICOM country.<\/em><\/li>\n
Be registered full-time in an undergraduate degree programme.<\/em><\/li>\n
Be enrolled in one of the following faculties: Engineering; Medical Sciences; Science and Technology; Sport; Humanities & Education; Social Sciences<\/em><\/li>\n
Be entering Level II or Level III of their programme.<\/em><\/li>\n
Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.<\/em><\/li>\n
Demonstrate: Strong academic performance; Participation in co-curricular\/community activities<\/em><\/li>\n
Verifiable financial need.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
The American Foundation for The University of the West Indies (AFUWI) Scholarship<\/strong> is an undergraduate scholarship that supports outstanding UWI students from across the Caribbean who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and community involvement.<\/p>\n

Scholarship Value: US$2,000 \u2013 US$5,000<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
\n
Maximum Tenure: One (1) academic year. <\/em><\/li>\n
Be a national of a CARICOM country.<\/em><\/li>\n
Be registered full-time in an undergraduate degree programme. <\/em><\/li>\n
Be enrolled in one of the following faculties: Medical Sciences; Science and Technology; Humanities & Education; Social Sciences<\/em><\/li>\n
Level II or III (Humanities & Education, Science & Technology, or Social Sciences), or Level IV or V for Medical Sciences students (MBBS or DDS).<\/em><\/li>\n
Academic performance (minimum GPA of 3.0)<\/em><\/li>\n
Demonstrated leadership qualities <\/em><\/li>\n
Participation in co-curricular and\/or community activities.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
