It was established to:<\/p>\n<div class=\"lc-block\" editable=\"rich\">\n<ul>\n<li>Develop the sporting culture at UWI Cave Hill<\/li>\n<li>Effectively manage and coordinate the business of all sporting teams within&nbsp;UWI Cave Hill<\/li>\n<li>Foster stronger relations amongst all sports and clubs on campus<\/li>\n<li>Encourage team work and leadership<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the overall development of sport, locally, regionally and internationally<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cavehill.uwi.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/64\/Images\/About-Us\/blackbirds-logo-full-colour.jpg\" style=\"width: 300px; height: 300px; float: right;\"><\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"lc-block\">\n<div editable=\"rich\">\n<h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe Executive Committee<\/h3>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\t\t\t\tThe Executive shall comprise of:<\/p>\n<div class=\"lc-block\" editable=\"rich\">\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cavehill.uwi.edu\/sport\/staff-profile\/dr-rudolph-alleyne\/\" target=\"_blank\">Academy Head (President)<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Principal (Principal\u2019s Representative)<\/li>\n<li>Bursar (Bursar\u2019s Representative)<\/li>\n<li>Head of Coaching<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cavehill.uwi.edu\/sport\/staff-profile\/ms-josanne-thomas\/\" target=\"_blank\">Administrative Assistant ( Secretary)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cms.cavehill.uwi.edu\/sport\/students\/student-representatives.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Games Committee Chairperson of the Guild of Students<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Coaches&#8217; Representative<\/li>\n<li>Athletes\u2019 Representative<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cms.cavehill.uwi.edu\/sport\/staff\/administrative-staff\/dr-kevin-grant.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Operations Manager (Treasurer)<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Professional Development Officer<\/li>\n<li>Sports Coordinators (Assistant Secretaries)<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"lc-block\">\n<div editable=\"rich\">\n<h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe Annual General Meeting<\/h3>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\t\t\t\tAn annual general meeting shall be held the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> week of September and shall:<\/p>\n<div class=\"lc-block\" editable=\"rich\">\n<ul>\n<li>Receive all accounts for the previous year ending July 31<sup>st<\/sup><\/li>\n<li>Discuss the calendar for the entire year<\/li>\n<li>Elect the sub-committees as it sees fit, from time to time<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"lc-block\">\n<div editable=\"rich\">\n<h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tSub-Committees<\/h3>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\t\t\t\tSub-committees shall be established by the Executive Committee when needed. The mandated sub-committees are:<\/p>\n<div class=\"lc-block\" editable=\"rich\">\n<ul>\n<li>Fundraising and Awards Committee<\/li>\n<li>Community Outreach and PRO Committee\n<ul style=\"list-style-type:circle;\">\n<li>Wings Volunteer (Sub-Committee)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"lc-block\" editable=\"rich\">\n<ul>\n<li>Social and Recreational Committee<\/li>\n<li>Disciplinary Committee<\/li>\n<li>Sub-committee for the coaches and the athletes where they can have a forum to address any concerns or initiatives they may have. (Athletes, Coaches Committee(ACC))<\/li>\n<li>Health and Safety Committee<\/li>\n<li>Membership and Youth Development Committee<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<p>\t\t\t\t<em>(The committees shall comprise students, staff and bona fide club members only)<\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"lc-block\">\n<div editable=\"rich\">\n<h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tMembership<\/h3>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\t\t\t\tMembership for the club is open to UWI affiliates (students, alumni, staff) and non-UWI affiliates, however, the general membership of the club is 80% UWI affiliates and 20% non-UWI affiliates.
