Seanon Williams celebrates winning Davis Cup finals with teammates
After closing out a 4-1 victory in straight sets over El Salvador in the semifinals, Seanon Williams along with teammate Russel Moseley sat courtside to support Barbados’ number 1 and 2 ranked players, Darian King and Haydn Lewis, when they took the court against Mexico in the Americas Group II Davis Cup finals on September 12th, 2014.
The Psychology and Sociology double major celebrated jubilantly with his teammates after Lewis’ heroic 2-6, 6-3, 6-1, 6-3 comeback over talented Mexican teen Lucas Gomez to claim the tie. This historic victory propelled Barbados into the Americas Group I for the first time.
