Three-time Defending Champions Prepare for 2015
Hockey Blackbirds Prepare for UWI Games 2015

Field Hockey on campus has grown tremendously over the years and has attracted a number of new players based on the interest it generates. Having suffered the embarrassing situation of placing third at the Games held in 2007 at the Mona Campus, Hockey has seen a transformation that led to them being the current three-time champions. The men and women have played undefeated from 2009 to date.
The nucleus of the male squad currently remains enrolled at Cave Hill, most notably current Senior National Players Che Warner and Justin Catlin, as well former Junior players and Senior National hopefuls Shavon Goddard and KamarBovell. The female team will continue to have the services of the experienced Patrina Braithwaite and a few others who are also competing for National Team selection.
The squad has stepped up their training in recent months and not only do they train three nights a week but also twice a week in hot-sun conditions in an attempt to get their bodies fully equipped for the defence of the title that doesn’t seem like it will be taken from them anytime soon.
