Cave Hill Campus Sport Grants

There shall be up to TEN SPORTING GRANTS available annually to students of the Cave Hill Campus. This number may be increased subject to the availability of funds, to be determined by the Principal, on the advice o the Bursar, at the beginning of each academic year.
Eligibility & Field of Study

The Sport Grants shall be open to nationals of the Caribbean Community who:
Have gained admission to the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus to read for a three or four year programme in any discipline offered by the Campus

Have demonstrated an exceptional capacity for a high level of performance in a sports discipline; as verified by the Head, Academy of Sport.

The value of the Sport Grants shall be up to BDS$3000.00 each.
Advertisement & Selection

Selection of candidates for the Sport Grant shall be based on proven performance in a Sports discipline.  Evidence of financial need may also be taken into consideration by the Committee.
The Campus Committee on Undergraduate Awards shall submit a short list TEN (10) applicants to the Principal for final approval. The Committee in its selection shall be advised by the Head, Academy of Sport.
A candidate may be considered for the Sport Grant for another year, but shall be required to re-apply and meet the criteria as set out.  The candidate’s academic performance as well as maintenance of quality performance in the Sporting discipline as certified by Head, Academy of Sport, Cave Hill shall be taken into consideration.

Applications for the Cave Hill Campus Sport Grant are accepted during the second semester of each academic year. This period usually falls between January and May. Interested persons can apply here.
