The over 20, 000 items in the collection provide unique research support for students and faculty of the Cave Hill Campus of the University of the West Indies, while capturing the intangible cultural heritage of the islands of the Eastern Caribbean and beyond. This is a collection of over 100 recordings of public lectures from the late 1900s to early 2000s. The lectures presented by The UWI and visiting lecturers, cover a variety of relevant topics, including cricket, culture, history, economics, law, language and literature, education, medicine, business, art, gender and philosophy among other topics.
These images document the early 20th century social history, geography, architectural and material culture of Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean. These are accessed via the institutional respository.
With the exception of the postcard and photographs collection, access to the catalogue of library materials available in the Elizabeth Watson Audiovisual Unit is through UWIlinC.

Persons who walk in to view and/or listen to materials will be accommodated based on availability of stations and in adherence to the necessy protocols in the COVID-19 environment.
