Dr.Donley Carrington has lectured Accounting in the Sagicor Cave Hill School of Business and Management since 1994. Dr. Carrington entered tertiary education after several years as a trained secondary school teacher.  With CMA and PhD qualifications in Accounting, he has been sought after by the Caribbean Examinations Council to play leading roles in the syllabus development and examination preparation processes. Dr. Carrington served as Chief Examiner for CAPE Accounting for eleven consecutive years and has been the CAPE Accounting Panel Convenor from 1998 to the present.  He is also the author and the co-author of the two commissioned texts for CAPE Accounting Unit I and Unit II.  Both texts were commissioned by the Caribbean Examinations Council and published by Oxford Publishing.

Dr. Carrington delivers the Assessment Module of the UWI's Certificate Programme in University Teaching and Learning, and his expertise in this field continues to prove an excellent resource to his academic colleagues, as well as to the campus as a whole.  As Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences since 2019, he oversees student-related matters for the largest faculty at the UWI Cave Hill Campus. 
 
Dr. Carrington is also a sought-after member of local boards as a consequence of his practical expertise in the areas of accounting and finance. He possesses an unparalleled track record for shepherding the financial affairs of the Anglican Diocese of Barbados at both the national level and the local level.
