Faculty of Social Sciences

Sagicor Cave Hill School of Business and Management

Dr. Diana Weekes-Marshall

Lecturer in Accounting

Deputy Dean - Strategic Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement

Mrs. Weekes-Marshall began her tenure at the Sagicor Cave Hill School of Business and Management in 2009. In her role as Chair for the Accounting, Investments and Financial Management Subject Area Group, she facilitated a number of key agreements between UWI Cave Hill and the world's top professional accounting bodies.  hese agreements allow graduates of SCHSBM to obtain exemptions from professional exams, and to finish their professional designations in the shortest amount of time.  To this end, Mrs. Weekes-Marshall has been instrumental in redesigning and aligning the University's accounting courses to meet the requirements for ACCA, CPA and CGA standards.  She has been the driving force behind the development of the Masters in Finance and Accounting with ACCA Embedded, a degree option that is sure to set the Cave Hill School of Business and Management apart in upcoming years.

Mrs. Weekes-Marshall has provided consultancy services for several multinational companies. She is also an FCA and FCCA who has had membership and leadership on several local and international associations and boards. Her commitment to the discipline and her students is evidenced in her work as Faculty Advisor for the Accounting Student Association since its inception in 2010. In this capacity, she works to create relationships between the association and corporate Barbados, as a means of broadening the opportunities available to our  Accounting and Finance students.

Mrs. Weekes-Marshall is soon to complete her PhD in Corporate Governance and Accounting at the UWI Cave Hill Campus.
