Tourism is a dynamic industry. It is the mainstay for several economies around the world and is becoming increasingly important to the GDP of other countries as air travel becomes more accessible, and people learn about travel and tourism experiences through traditional and social media.
The degree in International Tourism Management with Spanish will allow you to immerse yourself in Hispanic culture while gaining the knowledge to manage tourism and hospitality in an international context. The graduate of this programme will have a competitive edge as countries of the Caribbean region reach out to the Latin American and European markets.

- The key aspects of Spanish culture.
Research
Our Faculty conducts research in a wide cross-section of areas related to Tourism and Hospitality, including sustainable tourism development and foreign direct investment in tourism.
The Co-ordinator of the programme, Dr. Sherma Roberts is the primary author of the text ‘Contemporary Caribbean Tourism Concepts and Cases’ which is the signal foundation text for the Caribbean Secondary Examinations Council (CSEC) qualification in Tourism Studies.
Tourism Lecturer Dr. Cristina Jönsson has served as a regional tourism manager in Sweden, and prepared and executed a tourism master plan on behalf of a municipal government in Europe.
