About the Programme
The Diploma in Management with a concentration in General Management (DM-GM) allows participants to fast-track access to the fundamental knowledge and skills in the field of business and management. The programme emphasises the examination of Caribbean business realities in the context of the theories and practices of contemporary business and management. The course of study exposes participants to modern theories and techniques in key areas such as marketing, strategy, finance and human resources management to prepare them to successfully make lateral and vertical career moves.
The DM-GM seeks to enrich the practical ability of participants as they learn from academics as well as senior management professionals. Participants learn to view organisations as more than the sum of their parts. They also learn the importance of using this broader vision in formulating effective management decisions.
Additionally, the DM-GM provides a platform for acceleration into the Cave Hill School of Business and Management MBA programme, since successful completion of the diploma increases the probability of meeting the entry requirements.
