Overview

This programme is designed to enhance your knowledge of procurement procedures and to improve your procurement and supply chain management skills in the workplace, providing you with a range of tools and practical applications which are essential for an effective procurement department. It will focus on the various processes involved in supply chain management including sourcing, procurement, supply channels, design, optimisation, and sales and operations planning. Additionally, this programme will further strengthen delegates’ skill set in the various phases of strategic procurement. Furthermore, you will examine the challenges confronting supply chains across the entire product value chain.

Programme Goals

The goals of the programme are to:

  • Examine the role that procurement plays in improving organisational performance and in relation to wider supply chain issues.
  •  Develop the knowledge and skills needed to manage planning, transport, sourcing, procurement, distribution, logistics, and supply chain management processes within your organisation and across your sector.

Learning Objectives

On completion of the programme, leaders will be able to:

  • Outline the stages of the procurement process.
  •  Develop strategies for managing supply chain operations.
  •  Apply the appropriate tools, techniques and strategies required to operate efficient supply chains.
  •  Design supply chains aligned with the market, product characteristics, and the right customers.
  •  Discuss the role of information systems and internet technology in inventory management and supply chain integration.

CANCELLATIONS

  • The Sagicor Cave Hill School of Business and Management (SCHSBM) reserves the right to make changes to any printed or online information on short courses, instructors, or course information; or cancel any short course due to under-subscription or circumstances beyond its control.
  • Delegates will be notified at least seven (7) days before the start of any course that must be cancelled.
  • Fees for short courses cancelled by the SCHSBM will be refunded in full.
  • The SCHSBM will not be liable for any loss, damages or other expenses that result from course cancellations.

REFUNDS

Due to the costs incurred for program preparation and administration any cancellations received 30 days or less from the program start date are subject to fees as described below. For programs with a virtual component, the start date will be considered the first day of live learning.
