Programme Overview

Turning Metrics into Meaning: Advanced M&E for Modern Projects

Projects should do more than finish on time. They should prove they create value. This 6-week programme turns Monitoring and Evaluation into a strategic advantage that drives decisions, fuels learning, and wins stakeholder confidence. You’ll design an agile, fit-for-purpose measurement system, transform raw data into timely insight, and tell a results story that secures continued investment.

Grounded in PMBOK® 7 principles and the OECD-DAC evaluation criteria, the learning is practical and applied from day one. You will work hands-on with live tools, from interactive dashboards to rapid learning loops, and you will leave with a complete, ready-to-deploy M&E system tailored to your project or portfolio.

Backed by PMI research on flexible, value-focused delivery, this programme equips you to choose the right approach, adapt it under pressure, and defend your decisions with credible evidence. If you are ready to move beyond compliance and put performance at the center of execution, this is where you build the system that proves it.

Programme Objectives

Emerging from this programme, you will be able to:

  • Develop an M&E plan that clearly aligns with a project’s value delivery strategy, incorporating PMBOK® 7 principles and domains.
  • Construct a testable Theory of Change with clearly defined assumptions, inputs, outputs, outcomes, and impact pathways.
  • Select indicators mapped to OECD-DAC evaluation criteria, including targets, baselines, and measurement methods.
  • Design a complete MEL plan with documented data collection protocols, quality assurance procedures, and ethical safeguards for data use.
  • Build a functional monitoring dashboard that visualises key project metrics and supports real-time decision-making.
