Testimonial:

As a St. Lucian student, I chose UWI because I believe that only a Caribbean institution can fully cater to the needs of Caribbean students. My desire to attend UWI became concrete when I received the UWI Open Scholarship to pursue an undergraduate degree in Accounting.

My UWI experience was enhanced by the lecturers I consider to be UWI's best asset. They incorporated their experiences into the classroom which made me look forward to classes. The office staff was also supportive; I would especially like to acknowledge Mrs. Neila Hinkson for providing excellent student support.

One advantage of choosing a programme from the Sagicor Cave Hill School of Business and Management is that I was able to obtain exemptions from some ACCA papers and also financial savings as it relates to registration and exemption fees. Accounting students interested in going on to pursue their professional designation whether it be ACCA or CPA will find the UWI Cave Hill programmes advantageous.  Also, the advice and personal interaction with the Accounting lecturers helped in the performance of my duties as an Audit Assistant after graduation.

In my final year, one event that kept me going was receiving a departmental award. My secret was trusting God, keeping connected to Him as He helped me to succeed in every course and every aspect of university.
