Entry Requirements for Degreed Applicants
Applicants under this category should have:
i.
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a university or college acceptable to the University of the West Indies, with at least a GPA of 2.5.
•
Students are expected to have a good grounding in aviation and a business or information technology-related subject such as business analytics, finance, economics, marketing, or computer science.
ii.
Three (3) years post degree work experience.
b. Entry Requirements for Pass-Degreed Applicants
Students with passe degrees will be considered under the following conditions:
i.
they are currently working in the aviation industry, computer science or information technology related field, and
ii.
they are successful at an interview conducted by the entrance committee within the School.
iii.
Three (3) years of post-degree work experience
c. Entry Requirements for Non-Degreed Applicants
The SCHSB is considering opening its doors to a restricted number of individuals without degrees, who are working in the private sector and have a desire to obtain advanced training in Aviation and Airline Business Analytics. It is expected that the number of students entering the programme through this route would be highly restricted and should represent no more than 25 percent of the cohort in any given year. Students entering through this route will be required to undertake a preliminary year of study. The entry criteria for these students would therefore be:
iii.
Technical certificates or diplomas that can be assessed by the University of the West Indies.
iv.
Five years’ experience in the aviation industry or in an information technology, computer science, business or management-related field at a Supervisory or higher level.
v.
They are successful at an interview conducted by a selected panel determined by the Campus Committee of Graduate Studies and the SCHSBM.
vi.
Two strong letters of recommendation.
Applicants must also satisfy the following admission requirements to undergo training at CAE:

2. Candidate Screening
The Candidates will submit applications via UWI’s regular application portals and process. CAE will screen all applications against the Eligibility Criteria specified above. Candidates that meet the Eligibility Criteria will be invited to undergo an Aptitude Assessment.
3. Aptitude Assessment
CAE will utilize the ADAPT test as an aptitude assessment tool. The objective of ADAPT is to identify suitable and trainable Trainees for the Course. CAE will charge each Candidate an assessment fee.

4. Trainee Selection
On completion of the ADAPT test CAE will provide Candidate reports to the other Parties, as well as a recommendation on which Candidates should be selected as Trainees. The Parties will mutually make the final selection of Trainees, taking into account the ADAPT results, as well as other relevant data which may be provided as part of the application process. For the avoidance of doubt, Candidates who are not selected to become Trainees for the Course, may continue to be eligible for acceptance into other courses and programmes provided by UWI.
