If, in general, you are having ongoing difficulties with managing your funds, you may make an appointment with the counsellors in the Office of Student Services to discuss your financial challenges. <\/p>\n<p>Students may apply for funds when they have exhausted all their resources. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>To be eligible students: <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Must be registered with a degree GPA of 2.0 or above, <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Demonstrate financial need with supporting documentation, <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Must not have received assistance within the past year, and <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Must have considered all other resources. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The following expenses are NOT generally considered: <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Study Abroad Costs <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Non-essential utilities <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Expenditures from poor financial management <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Maximum award: BDS $500.00 <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Applications are to be submitted to the Director of Student Services at the address below: <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The Director <\/p>\n<p>Office of Student Services <\/p>\n<p>The University of the West Indies <\/p>\n<p>Cave Hill Campus <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Applicants are required to meet with a member of staff to discuss their application.
