
Your orientation to the University plays a major role in preparing you for success as a student. There are several stages of Orientation:
Undergraduate Students
New Student Orientation
There is a general New Student Orientation for all incoming undergraduate students. This comprises:
- An Online Self-paced Orientation (available mid-July for Semester 1 and mid-late December for Semester 2)
- A Live Virtual New Student Orientation Forum (August 26 for Semeser 1 and January 9 for Semester 2)
- New Student Information Sessions
- Parents and Partners Forum (August 26, Semester 1 only)
- A range of exciting Freshers’ Week social and networking events (Semester 1 only)
Faculty Orientation
The general Orientation is followed by:
- An Orientation hosted by each Faculty, which includes a welcome by the Dean and Heads of Departments, and Academic Advising to prepare you for registration for courses.

Graduate Students
There is one main orientation activity for graduate students before Registration. This consists of an Open Forum followed by break-out into groups for orientation meetings with individual Programme Coordinators. Students entering in semester 2 will be advised by their coordinators regarding orientation.
