The University of the West Indies (The UWI) has penned an agreement with Sandals Resorts International (SRI) and Florida International University’s (FIU) Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, solidifying a landmark industry-academic alignment partnership to establish a world class tourism training institute based at the University.

The UWI, Cave Hill Campus in Barbados will host its virtual graduation ceremony for 1,382 graduands on Saturday, October 23.      

The University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus sought to deepen its ties with the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) on Monday, with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to facilitate cooperation in several areas.
 

Students have reaped the rewards of their determination and perseverance in the midst of a global pandemic which saw them delivering an outstanding performance in the past academic year.  
 

Seven staff members and one department at The University of the West Indies (The UWI) will be honoured at 2020/2021 Vice-Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence. One of the highlights on the University’s calendar, the Awards recognise high achievement by academic, senior administrative and professional personnel throughout the regional university. The 2020/2021 Awards, which marks the 28th year, will be held virtually—similar to last year’s ceremony—due to regional COVID-19 restrictions and protocols and will take the total number of awardees to 161. It takes place on November 25, 2021 and will be broadcast via UWItv.

The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus continues to receive international recognition for innovative undertakings to support its determined bid to become a Smart Campus.
 

The School of Education at The University of the West Indies Cave Hill campus is on its way to achieving its goal of establishing an educational research centre in the Faculty of Humanities and Education

The first shipment of relief supplies donated to the Cave Hill Campus is on its way to residents of St Vincent and the Grenadines who were displaced by the eruption of the La Soufrière volcano earlier this month.
