Criminal Justice Services Certificate

This course will offer an opportunity for delegates to critically engage in, and reflect on, the most up to date regional and international literature relating to origins of crime, sentencing, rehabilitation, psychology and the significant role played by professionals working in those areas. Specifically, the course will equip delegates with key practical and theoretical tools to successfully engage in rehabilitation work and develop best practice models of working in the penal service. Additionally, the course content contains key promotion criteria for those working in the prison industry.

Legal Advocacy

The course will seek to instruct Caribbean advocates and law students on the fundamentals of how to be effective advocates in court. The course will cover topics including how to treat witnesses, how to structure questions, how to deliver a closing speech and professional ethics.
