Business and Professional Writing

Intelligence and ingenuity can remain hidden if individuals are unable to effectively express their ideas and solutions in writing. Indeed, effective written communication is often key to reaching one’s full potential in the workplace, social and charitable organisations, and in the business arena.  Our suite of courses in business and professional writing has been designed by CPDLL’s writing experts to bring persons, regardless of age or career stage, to a place where thoughts, directives and ideas are expressed with the clarity, sharpness, empathy and sensitivity necessary to win the support of key stakeholders, motivate team members and reach one’s full potential in whatever sphere of business or society.

This course will provide delegates with the skills to become writers whose written communication achieves the action intended. It will offer a hands-on approach to workplace communication:  the memo that gets action, the letter that says what a phone call cannot, the proposal that gets approval. In short, this course will enable delegates to build relationships through their writing. It is specifically designed for school leavers, entry level workers, junior clerical/administrative staff, start-up entrepreneurs and persons who are not confident in basic writing skills or the use of standard English.
