Overview

With the increasing dependence on the Internet for economic growth, countries throughout the world are paying particular attention to the security of those online assets and related resources. As a result, there has been a rapid increase in the demand for human resource capacity in the area of cybersecurity. Therefore, this course seeks to provide delegates with an understanding of the basics of Cybersecurity.

  • Describe the basic concepts of cybersecurity;
  • Identify the processes needed to effectively manage cybersecurity risks within their environments;

    • Covers the basic concepts of Cyber and Information Security.
  • Cybersecurity Management
    • Covers the processes, technologies and people needed to effectively manage the Cybersecurity in the organization.
    • Frameworks (e.g. NIST) for managing Cybersecurity will be discussed.
    • Compliance with Laws and regulations
  • Cybersecurity Operations
    • Covers the daily operations needed to effectively management cybersecurity in the organization including:
  • Application Security
  •  
  • Configuration management
  • Identity and Access management
  • Media management
  • User Awareness
