Digital Marketing & Social Media


Digital Marketing is now an integral part of the modern marketing landscape and is a key vehicle for forging stronger relationships with current customers and for reaching a global audience in a cost-effective, customer friendly manner. A grasp of analytics will give delegates greater career success in the local, regional and international marketing arenas. Digital Marketing will introduce delegates to market development, marketing strategy and consumer engagement in the electronic and digital environments. The course will address website and social media site design and the development of mobile marketing campaigns.

What will I Learn?

On successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
  • Determine when digital marketing is an appropriate market growth strategy;
  • Assist businesses in identifying suitable digital marketing options, if made aware of their strategic marketing focus;
  • Outline a plan for the development of an interactive, customer- focused website;
  • Outline a plan for the development of an interactive customer-focused social media site;
  • Develop a winning mobile marketing campaign;
  • Perform basic analytics to determine the success of the specific digital marketing initiative.

Who Should do this Course

Individuals who meet the entry requirements for postgraduate level training, including individuals with a background in marketing who want to be able to identify suitable digital marketing options for their businesses, and who want to be able to perform basic analytics to determine the success of the specific digital marketing.

  • Applicants must bring all required documentation to the Department of Management Studies, Graduate Section, for their application to be processed.
  • Individuals applying for postgraduate modules, whose native language is not English, must take tests,  to demonstrate English Language proficiency prior to registration, as identified in the Manual of Procedures re: Regulations for Graduate Diplomas and Degrees (Sec. 1, Para. 5).

For entry into this course, applicants must have at least an undergraduate degree, or five (5) years relevant work experience. Applicants may also be asked to provide an up-to-date Curriculum Vitae.

The course will be delivered through interactive lectures and demonstrations, video presentations, case and journal article studies, practical group projects, and class discussions.
