Overview

Small Businesses and start-ups are viewed as important influencers for economic growth. Within the Caribbean region, the ecosystem for start-ups is nascent and growing. Due to this growth, this course was designed to provide entrepreneurs with the relevant training that focuses on basic fundamental business development skills to help them become more successful in business. The programme covers the major principles of the world-renowned Lean start Up Methodology.

What will I Learn?

By the end of the course, delegates should be able to: 
 

  • Develop a business model for their start-up idea using the Business Model Canvas; 
  • Validate a business idea through the customer development process; 
  • Develop and test a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for their business idea using non-code prototyping tools; 
  • Develop a Go-to-Market Strategy to drive and support growth; 
  • Identify their industry and determine the market size and their Total Addressable Market (TAM); 
  • Conduct Competitor Analyses; 
  • Identify and select appropriate and relevant funding strategies; 
  • Design a winning pitch deck.
