The short course in Supervisory Management Skills provides delegates with the knowledge needed to become successful in any supervisory position. In this course, delegates will be equipped with the necessary skills to improve decision making, communication, time management, workplace relationships, and crucially, improve performance and productivity the workplace. By the end of this course, delegates will have the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to practice effective supervisory management in both the public and private sector and across industries.

This course will be delivered using a combination of methods, inclusive of facilitator-led presentations and case studies. Delegates will be expected to actively participate in relating the topic areas of supervisory management skills to their respective work.
Dr. Dion Greenidge
Dr. Greenidge currently holds the position of Senior Lecturer in Management and is also the current Graduate Coordinator in the Department of Management Studies. He holds a B.A. (Honors) in Psychology (UWI), a M.Sc. in Work and Organisational Psychology (Institute of Work, Health and Organisations, University of Nottingham), and a Ph.D in Applied Psychology (Institute of Work, Health and Organisations, University of Nottingham). Dr. Greenidge has been involved in a number of academic and industry-related research projects and has presented work at regional and international conferences. He has authored or co-authored several published academic papers in international journals and book chapters. His research interests include (but are not limited to) structure and measurement of personality and other individual difference variables; and the interplay between workplace health, employee attitude and behaviours, and organisational outcomes.
Dr. Cheryl Cadogan-McClean
Dr. Cheryl Cadogan-McClean is a certified Health and Wellness Coach. She holds a PhD in Industrial/Organisational Psychology and is a Certified Worksite Wellness Specialist (CWWS). She is a member of the American Psychological Association. She has over fifteen (15) years’ experience as a lecturer in Industrial/Organisational Psychology at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus. With a focus on workplace wellness; her areas of research include psychological wellbeing, physical activity, sedentary work behaviour, stress, and ethical decision making.
Dr. Akhentoolove Corbin
Dr. Corbin, current Lecturer in management at the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus, is a specialist in the disciplines of leadership, human resource management/development, business strategy and sustainable competitiveness. Prior to becoming a lecturer at UWI, he provided human resource consulting services to both private and public companies across the Caribbean; in particular, the tourism and hospitality industry and financial services organisations. His main research interests are leadership and competitiveness through innovation and harmony; leadership and human resource management; and leadership and performance in cricket.
Cathy Norville
Cathy Norville has over 20 years’ experience in the field of Human Resources & Business Management. She is an adjunct faculty member since 2010 in the department of Management Studies (Cave Hill). Cathy operates a Management Consulting practice for the past 11 years, prior to this she held senior management positions within corporate Barbados. Her consulting practice has allowed her to utilise and harness the same skills that will be discussed within the workshop. Cathy is a doctoral candidate with Edinburg Napier University, UK.
Dr. Dwyane Devonish
Dwayne Devonish is Senior Lecturer in Management Sciences at the University of the West Indies. He has specialised training in research methodology and analysis and has published over 30 research papers on management and business subjects/topics.
