This course will be fully interactive and will be conducted face to face using a combination of methods, inclusive of lectures, case studies, discussions and cooperative group work.
Mrs. Sadie Goddard-Durant is a Canadian Certified Counsellor. She has worked for a number of years in a variety of governmental and community settings in Barbados and New York designing and providing psychosocial services to marginalized populations. She currently works with a Community Based Research and Evaluation Consulting firm in Canada providing a range of program evaluation services to organizations to foster social change. Sadie has a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counselling from the Long Island University in New York and is currently pursuing a PhD in Applied Social Psychology at the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Her research interests include understanding wellbeing and resilience from the perspective of marginalized groups, as well as interrogating the historical and socio-political contexts of health-related issues for these groups and how they are socially constructed and researched.
