This course covers the foundations of data analytics as well as the techniques required for data-driven decision-making. It will introduce students to important concepts in data analytics across a wide range of applications using programming language including R and data analysis software including SPSS. The course will also focus on the application of data analytics techniques and how data analytics is used to create value for organisations. Moreover, delegates will learn how to transform data into key business insights using data analytics tools and methods such as statistics and visualisation techniques.

Delegates will be engaged through interactive lectures, illustrations, experiential learning activities, in-class discussions, and online discussions to develop their data analytics skills. The course may also use various software tools including SPSS, R and Excel. The use of various technological media such as Power-point presentations will also be incorporated in each session to aid in the delivery of the course material.
