Advanced Data Analysis using R

Overview

In recent years, R has been one of the most preferred programming languages used by data scientists. R’s flexibility as a software means that it has the capabilities to perform the necessary tasks for various fields in data analytics. In fact, one such field where R is increasingly used is in the financial sector. Against this backdrop, this course is intended for those who have knowledge of and experience using R, and would like to further advance or develop their experiences with advanced statistical methods using R.

What will I Learn?

On successful completion of this course, delegates will be able to:

  • Explain the purpose of functional and object-oriented programming in data science.
  • Perform advanced statistical data analysis using R.
  • Write clear, efficient R code.
  • Create linear regression models.
  • Construct efficient data visualizations.
  • Integrate data from sources through web scraping.
  • Use advanced statistical programming tools and techniques in R to address different types of data science problems.
  • Use R to communicate data findings and business insights.

Who Should do this Course

  • Professionals and/or programmers who have some experience using R and would like to enhance their knowledge of and expertise in this programming language.
  • Professionals tasked with managing data science-oriented projects.
  • Practitioners familiar with statistical methods in other statistical packages, but with no extensive experience in R.
  • Practitioners with a background and/ or experience in statistics, data science, data analytics, information technology or a related field.

Important Information

This course will focus on the application of advanced statistical methods using ‘R’. Delegates will build on their previous knowledge of R by exploring and leveraging the numerous capabilities of this powerful programming language. The course will cover topics such as functional programming, object-oriented programming, data visualization using R, and web scraping and text mining in R. Thus, delegates will be engaged in extensive practical activities designed to facilitate their application of these statistical methods using the R tool.
