OUR AIMS


The aims of the Centre for Professional Development and Lifelong Learning are to:

  • Enable adult learners to achieve their personal and professional goals by providing high quality professional development and lifelong learning opportunities in a variety of interest areas;

  • Open the doors of the UWI, Cave Hill Campus to a diverse range of adult learners by expanding access to educational opportunities;

  • Support workforce development by offering a variety of lifelong learning products/services aimed at upgrading skills, maximising performance capability, and providing professional development opportunities for businesses and industry;

  • Support professionals in meeting mandatory training and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements to maintain regulatory registration;

  • ​Create a culture throughout the local, regional, and international community where CPD and Lifelong Learning is valued and rewarded.
