Overview

True success in the contemporary workplace demands much more than brains or brawn. It requires an intimate understanding of business etiquette including personal brand articulation and management, business networking and navigating the corporate ladder, building one’s reputation through savvy business dining and international travel, and effectual, career-enhancing communications through traditional means as well as through the new (social) media. This course is designed to take you beyond manners and educate you on how to become more influential in your place of work and business arena. It will equip you with the knowledge and information that is often overlooked but makes the difference when desirous of climbing the corporate or business ladder.

There are no requirements.

The short course will be designed to be very interactive and therefore a variety of methodologies will be used such as discussions, demonstrations, role plays, lectures, etc.
 

Cathy Norville

Cathy Norville has over 20 years’ experience in the field of Human Resources & Business Management.  She is an adjunct faculty member since 2010 in the department of Management Studies (Cave Hill).  Cathy operates a Management Consulting practice for the past 11 years, prior to this she held senior management positions within corporate Barbados.  Her consulting practice has allowed her to utilise and harness the same skills that will be discussed within the workshop.  Cathy is a doctoral candidate with Edinburg Napier University, UK.
