Conduct in the Law Library
- Eating and/or drinking is not allowed in the Law Library.
- Silence must be observed in the library. Any member of the Law Library's staff and/or the security officer may remind users of the need for silence.
- Sitting on tables, or resting of feet on tables or chairs is not allowed.
- Students are not permitted to lock any of the computers when they leave computer stations. If they do so, staff will unlock the computer and log it off.
- Students are not permitted to tamper with the Law Library's property.
- Users are not permitted to talk on phones or voice notes on cellphones, however texting is allowed.
Handling of Library Books and Materials
- Marking publications with pen or pencil is prohibited.
- No person should remove, destroy or mutilate any part of a book or other material belonging to the library.
- Reasonable care should be exercised when using library books and materials.
- Reports and statutes must be reshelved after use. Any steps necessary to alleviate the problem of untidiness in the library will be taken. This will include CLOSING THE LIBRARY for specified periods.
- Stacking more than five volumes of reports or statutes on a desk for personal use will not be permitted.
Damage and Loss of Books
Unauthorised removal, minor damage or defacing of Law Library materials renders a user liable to a fine not exceeding Bds.$25.00, at the discretion of the Law Librarian.
The reader must pay the cost of replacing a lost or seriously damaged book or other item, in addition to any fine which the reader may have incurred before reporting the loss or damage.

Operating Hours
- Semester Hours: Monday - Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.; Sundays Closed
- Summer and Christmas Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Saturdays 9:00 am - 1:00 pm (For Summer School only) Sundays Closed
- Account Top-ups: Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.; Saturdays 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.; Sundays Closed
- There are three (3) notifications alerting patrons of the closing of the Law Library delivered via the intercom system or by the sounding of a bell.
- The first notification – 50 minutes before closing.
- The second notification – 30 minutes before closing.
- The final notification – 10 minutes before closing.
- Any borrowing, whether from the Open Shelf or from the Circulation Desk, should be done before the second notification.
- There will be no issuing of library materials after the second notification.
- Any material on loan from the Circulation Desk should be returned on or before the second notification.
- All patrons should exit the Law Library ten (10) minutes to closing time, at the sounding of the third and final notification.
